Holiday on Ice materials related to world tours, 1954-1967.

Correspondence is written to Clarence Bodine's parents during his world tours of Holiday on Ice and also includes some separtely written subject reports on living conditions in the countries visited. The programs in the collection are primarily those of Holiday on Ice but also include some for Sonja Henie's Stars on Ice and Ice Capades. Included also are posters and print materials. The scrapbooks include photographs of cast and staff members with local dignitaries, performance images and venues, and informal shots of cast members as tourists.

Clarence H. Bodine Jr. was tour manager (advance person) for the American Holiday on Ice show, beginning in 1952 and continuing for 17 years for the company's world-wide tours. During the tours he wrote often to his parents in New Jersey detailing his work and travel in foreign countries. He later worked for Hong-Kong Promotions, a production company that imported American performers for variety shows and then became manager for the Araneta Coliseum in Queson City, Philippines.
